Creekside Park's December Happens a Few Minutes from Home. Here's the Calendar.

From mid-November to the week before Christmas, nine of the ten holiday-season dates on Creekside Park's own calendar point to the same place. That address is 6464 Creekside Forest Drive, the Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park. The movie night, the family campout, Santa, the evening craft workshops, the Township's makers market and the cookie-decorating afternoon all share one parking lot, one lawn and one amphitheater. The tenth date, a morning market at Creekside Park Village Green, is a short drive down Kuykendahl Road.

One campus, ten dates

Here is the full Creekside holiday run in one place, with the two Township-wide events left out for now.

The November events come first, and they ask for the most commitment. The Creekside Campout starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14 and ends at 10 a.m. Sunday. In between are archery, kayaking, hikes, a movie, a campfire and s'mores. The $200 registration covers a family of four. The night before, the free Sunset Cinema shows WALL-E in the Rob Fleming amphitheater. Recycling trivia comes first. Put the two together and a family can spend Friday night through Sunday morning in the park without leaving the village.

The Makers Market grew into a full Saturday

The Township calls this year's market its Second Annual Winter Makers Market. The first one was on December 13, 2025, at the same Rob Fleming campus, and ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year it runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 12. That is six hours instead of four, which makes it a day you can plan around rather than a quick morning stop.

The program has grown to fill the extra time. The Township lists handcrafted gifts, goods and artwork from local makers, food trucks with seasonal treats, and reindeer-game activities. KidZone wristbands are sold separately and cover a trackless train, crafts, putt-putt and inflatables.

Because everything happens on one campus, everyone has to park in the same few lots. The Township is clear that roadside parking and parking in residential areas are strictly prohibited for this event. It designates three lots:

  • Rob Fleming Recreation Center, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive
  • Rob Fleming Aquatic Center, 6535 Creekside Forest Drive
  • The Lodge at Rob Fleming Park, 6055 Creekside Forest Drive

The Aquatic Center lot should have room. The Township says all pools, Rob Fleming Aquatic Center included, are closed for the rest of the 2026 season, and its sprayground notice listed daily hours only through October 31. No swimmers will be competing for those spaces in December. The streets around Rob Fleming Park are off-limits, though, so the three lots are the whole plan.

The weeknights belong to the Village Association

The Township runs the big Saturday events. The quieter evenings come from the Creekside Park Village Association, which posts its own calendar. In the week before the Makers Market, it lists three events at 6464 Creekside Forest Drive:

  1. Santa & S'mores, Saturday, December 5, 5 to 7 p.m.
  2. Painting in the Trees, Thursday, December 10, 5 to 7 p.m.
  3. Sustainable Giftwrapping Workshop, Friday, December 11, 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The giftwrapping workshop falls the evening before the Makers Market opens at the same address. Anyone who buys handmade gifts on Saturday will have just learned a low-waste way to wrap them the night before.

The Village Association's calendar continues past the holiday rush. It lists a blood drive at the Rob Fleming Rec Center on Wednesday, December 16, from 9 a.m. to noon. Five days later, the Township's Cookies for Santa brings families back at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 21, for cookie decorating and crafts. It is open to ages 3 and older, at $20 per resident child and $25 per nonresident child. Monday falls in school winter break for many families, so this is the one weekday-afternoon event of the season.

The Recreation Center's posted weekly hours are Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on Sundays. These are standard weekly hours, not a holiday schedule, so check with the center before a late-December visit.

Village Green gets the Saturday morning

The one holiday event away from Rob Fleming Park is on Kuykendahl Road. Woodlands Online lists the Boho Market's second annual holiday market for Saturday, December 19, from 8 a.m. to noon at Creekside Park Village Green, 26400 Kuykendahl Road. Admission and parking are free, and the listing includes local vendors, holiday photo spots, Coffee & Cars and live music.

It is an early market. Coffee & Cars at 8 a.m. sets the pace, and the stalls close at noon. That leaves the afternoon open for errands, and the shopping close by has changed since last December.

Breakfast first. First Watch opened at Creekside Park West, 26435 Kuykendahl Road, Suite 900, on February 9, 2026, according to Community Impact. The restaurant's location page lists daily hours of 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Holiday Saturday or not, it opens an hour before the Boho Market does.

Something to carry. Nékter Juice Bar is in the same center at Suite 850. Its grand opening was in February 2025, as Visit The Woodlands reported.

Gifts the market didn't have. Concept 58, a boutique selling accessories, jewelry, art and gifts, opened on September 18 at 26820 Kuykendahl Road, Suite 141, Community Impact reported this month. This is its first holiday season on Kuykendahl.

Families with younger children may also know Gymboree Play & Music at 26435 Kuykendahl Road, Suite 150. It opened in Creekside Park West this summer with classes and play programs for children from birth through age 6.

When the season does pull you across The Woodlands

The two big Township-wide events both begin on Saturday, November 21. That is a week after the Creekside Campout and three weeks before the Makers Market.

The free Lighting of the Doves festival runs from 3 to 8 p.m. that day at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive. The Township lists performances, snow play, vendors, Santa and fireworks. The same Saturday, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, opens the free nightly lights of Holiday on The Waterway. This season it carries a new name, "Holiday on The Waterway – Powered by Entergy." It runs through the first weekend of January, with complimentary trolley service.

The Waterway lights stay on every night for about six weeks, so there is no single evening you have to catch. Every Creekside event in the table above, by contrast, happens once. A practical way to split the season is to save the fixed-date Rob Fleming events and the Boho morning for your calendar, and fit The Waterway into whichever free evening comes up.

Once the wrapping paper is gone

The Village of Creekside Park's 2026 curbside cardboard schedule has two pickups left, on November 20 and December 26. The December date falls the day after Christmas. Shipping boxes from the season, plus whatever you bring home from the Makers Market and Concept 58, can go out on the 26th.

At Janet Chavez, we follow these village calendars as closely as we follow the market. If the holidays have you wondering what your Creekside Park home is worth before the new year, we would be glad to prepare a discreet, design-minded assessment. Request your confidential home valuation.
